White Turnips

White Turnips, or ‘Neeps as they are affectionately known, are summer vegetables that are smaller in size than Rutabagas. They are purple on the top and white on the bottom with white flesh.

Turnips are excellent in soups and stews, and make a great side dish when mashed with carrots. You can try turnip fries, creamy ‘Neep hash, and even scalloped turnips.

White Turnips are a good source of Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Folate, Calcium and Potassium.
